Clinical Overview
Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, often due to abnormally high pressure in the eye (IOP). Ayurveda correlates this to Adhimantha, a severe, painful condition where vitiated Doshas (especially Kapha and Vata) obstruct the drainage channels of the eye, causing a dangerous build-up of fluid (Kleda). Our treatment is integrative, focusing on urgently clearing the fluid channels, reducing ocular pressure, and protecting the optic nerve from damage.

Samprapti (Pathogenesis)
Vitiated Kapha and Ama physically obstruct the micro-channels (Srotas) draining the aqueous humor of the eye. This trapped fluid causes pressure to build up. Vitiated Vata then causes the optic nerve to become hypersensitive and eventually degenerate under the pressure.
