External Therapy Protocol
Hrid Basti (Heart Oil Pooling)
in Bengaluru
Hrid Basti is essentially identical to Uro Basti, but specifically targets the Hridaya Marma (the vital energy center of the heart) located slightly to the left of the sternum. It is primarily used for cardiac health and profound emotional grounding.
Clinical Benefits
- Nourishes and strengthens the heart (Hridaya)
- Effectively manages stress-induced palpitations and hypertension
- Helps release deep emotional trauma and grief stored in the chest
- Relieves muscular tension in the pectoral region
Clinical Procedure
1. Preparation (Purvakarma)
- • A dough ring is placed precisely over the cardiac region (left chest).
2. Main Action (Pradhana Karma)
Warm oil is pooled inside the ring and maintained at a specific soothing temperature.
3. Post-Therapy (Paschatkarma)
- • The oil is removed, followed by a very gentle massage over the heart center.
Patient FAQs
Is this safe if I have a pacemaker?
Yes, it is an external, non-invasive therapy using oil and heat. However, always inform the Ayurvedic physician about any implants so the temperature and massage pressure can be adjusted accordingly.
