Keshya Pichu is a localized application where a cotton pad soaked in highly specific hair-growth promoting (Keshya) oils (like Neelibhringadi or Chemparuthyadi) is placed on bald patches or the crown of the head to treat severe hair loss and scalp conditions.

Clinical Procedure
1. Preparation (Purvakarma)
- • Specific Keshya (hair-nourishing) oils are warmed slightly.
2. Main Action (Pradhana Karma)
A thick cotton pad is soaked in the oil and placed directly over the affected area (bald patch or crown). It is tied securely so the patient can move around.
3. Post-Therapy (Paschatkarma)
- • The pad is removed after a few hours, and the residual oil is massaged into the scalp.
- • The head may be washed with mild herbal powders (like Shikakai or Thaali).
Patient FAQs
Is this different from just oiling my hair?
Yes. Normal oiling only coats the hair briefly. The Pichu (soaked pad) ensures a continuous, prolonged pooling of medicine over the specific bald patch, forcing deep transdermal absorption into the dead follicles.
