Mukha Abhyanga (Face Massage)
in Bengaluru

Mukha Abhyanga is an intricate facial massage that balances Vata and Pitta doshas. It not only rejuvenates facial skin and muscles but also plays a critical therapeutic role in treating facial nerve paralysis and chronic headaches.

Clinical Benefits

  • Stimulates facial nerves and aids in the recovery of facial palsy
  • Reduces tension headaches and jaw clenching (TMJ issues)
  • Improves skin tone, reduces wrinkles, and prevents premature aging
  • Calms the mind and relieves severe stress

Clinical Procedure

1. Preparation (Purvakarma)

  • Face is cleansed gently with herbal water or mild cleansers.

2. Main Action (Pradhana Karma)

Using specialized facial oils (like Kumkumadi Taila) or plain ghee, the therapist massages the face using upward, lifting strokes, stimulating key Marma points on the jaw, temples, and forehead.

3. Post-Therapy (Paschatkarma)

  • A mild herbal steam (Nadi Sweda) may be applied.
  • Excess oil is removed gently with a warm towel.

Patient FAQs

Will this cause acne if I have oily skin?

We select specific oils based on your skin type. For oily or Kapha-dominant skin, we use lighter oils or even herbal powders instead of heavy oils to prevent clogging pores.
