Yoni Pichu (Vaginal Medicated Pad)
in Bengaluru

Yoni Pichu is the application of a sterile cotton tampon (Pichu) soaked in medicated oil or ghee, inserted into the vaginal canal and retained near the cervix. It is a highly effective, non-invasive treatment for various gynecological disorders.

Clinical Benefits

  • The best treatment for severe vaginal dryness and atrophy during Menopause
  • Strengthens the pelvic floor muscles, preventing and treating mild Uterine Prolapse
  • Relieves deep pelvic pain in Endometriosis and Dysmenorrhea
  • Helps heal cervical erosions and prepares the uterus for conception

Clinical Procedure

1. Preparation (Purvakarma)

  • A sterile cotton ball is tied with a long thread (for easy removal) and completely soaked in warm medicated oil (like Dhanwantaram or Jatyadi) or ghee.

2. Main Action (Pradhana Karma)

The patient lies down, and the soaked Pichu is gently inserted deep into the vagina, resting against the cervix.

3. Post-Therapy (Paschatkarma)

  • The patient rests for a few hours or overnight, and then pulls the thread to remove the Pichu.

Patient FAQs

Is it uncomfortable to keep the pad inside?

No, because it is heavily lubricated with warm oil or ghee, insertion is easy and it is usually not felt once correctly placed. It provides a deeply soothing, heavy sensation that relieves pelvic pain.
